In his new role, Menon will focus on building relationships with airlines, airports and government, and on “supporting the development of air traffic management expertise through regional capacity-building programs, delivering Airservices response to National Aviation White Paper, and contributing to the policy debate on the future of Australian aviation,” the statement by Airservices Australia said.
Menon joined Jetstar at its launch in 2004 and led the airline’s engagement with governments over regulatory and some commercial matters.
Airservices, a fully government owned corporation that manages air traffic operations, recently named retired ACM Angus Houston as its new chairman.
