Airservices Australia is showcasing its latest air traffic control tower technology at the Australian International Airshow at Avalon Airport for the first time.
The new suite of technology provides air traffic controllers with an integrated layout for flight and operational data, surveillance and voice communications through four interactive touch screens. The new technology is being rolled out at new towers being built at Melbourne, Adelaide, Rockhampton and Broome first, while it will then be progressively rolled out across other towers around Australia.
