CASA will be conducting special safety checks of flight paths at Kingsford Smith, Bankstown and Camden Airports as well as RAAF Richmond over the weekend of October 30-31.
The check flights will be operated by Radiola Aerospace Pty Ltd and use a Cessna Conquest to ensure navigation aids are operational and not suffering interference, as well as checking existing and new obstacles that could be a danger to aviation safety. As such, the Conquest will fly somewhat unusual patterns and operate at lower than usual levels, but CASA is advising residents not to be worried about the activity.
