Airservices Australia has begun recruiting for its technical traineeship program for next year, which will see up to 15 positions offered for students to undertake training to eventually maintain key air navigation equipment around Australia.
Under the program, trainees undertake a two year Diploma of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Riverina Institute in Wagga Wagga which leads on to a career as a technical officer with Airservices. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 to be considered for the program.

The first intake of trainees from the 2009 program will graduate later this year and take up ongoing positions with Airservices.
