Qantas has ended Virgin Australia’s run as the nation’s most punctual airline.

Figures from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) showed 87.9 per cent of all Qantas domestic flights departed on time in April, while 86 per cent of its services arrived at the gate on time.

The Flying Kangaroos came in ahead of Virgin, which had 86.9 per cent of flights depart on time and 84.8 per cent arrive on time.

Virgin had been on top since October 2014.

BITRE defines a flight as on time if it arrives or departs within 15 minutes of schedule.

That’s more like it. Personally the majority of my flights with Virgin are always late. That’s why when I’m booking and paying I fly Qantas.

Virgin can not match the QANTAS as brand; because Qantas belong to every Ausi heart/soul; Qantas must comeback and make it just one more time to say the world that we are the ‘No.1’ in Australia. Virgin recruitment is basically flawed; it never quite got the people behind it to face the challenge. Saying and doing are something very different.
