Jetstar New Zealand has carried its five millionth passenger since launching domestic operations in 2009.
Auckland is Jetstar’s busiest destination with over 2.1 million domestic passengers flying in and out with the airline since their domestic services began in June 2009.

“This is an extremely impressive result for Jetstar and proves that Jetstar’s commitment to keeping fares affordable has been very popular in New Zealand,” Auckland Airport General Manager Glenn Wedlock said. “The fact that Jetstar has sold nearly one million seats for $50 or less indicates the high volume of low-cost fares they have available.”
