A Choice magazine survey has named Virgin Blue as Australia’s best domestic airline for the second year in a row, with Tiger Airways taking out last place.
The survey involved 11,000 Choice members who rated the major domestic carriers on 10 criteria including cost, inflight service and food quality, and saw Virgin Blue receive the highest overall score of 73 per cent. The airline was consistently rated first or second across the criteria, with a number of members commenting on their standards of service and its change of policy which no longer requires disabled passengers to travel with a carer.
