Young Esperance native Hayden McDonald is about to embark on an extraordinary journey: on 8 September he will begin a two-month trip around Australia in a Jabiru J120 light aircraft to share his experience of living with autism.
Hayden, whose dream of joining the Royal Flying Doctor Service was knocked back when CASA denied his medical due to his autism, is aiming to educate people around the country on what it means to be neurodivergent in an effort to break the stigma.
