Australian Aviation wants to acknowledge the hard work of those dedicated aviation industry executives who demonstrated leadership during the pandemic at the first-ever Australian Aviation Awards.
We urge CEOs, chief financial officers (CFO), chief operating officers, managing directors, executive directors, or those with equivalent titles to submit an entry in the Executive of the Year category at the 2022 Australian Aviation Awards.
This is one of 24 categories on offer in the awards program, which aims to recognise the achievements and successes of the aviation industry during what has been a turbulent and challenging couple of years amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The awards program will culminate in a gala black-tie ceremony on Thursday 1 September 2022 in Sydney.
The Executive of the Year award category recognises an aviation executive who has most effectively shaped the success of their business while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation capabilities and its recovery through the pandemic.
The submissions are an opportunity for executives to detail their approach to leadership, diversity, and inclusion; how it influences their actions and activities in their business; any success, achievements, or milestones between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021, and how their leadership contributed to the outcome.
You must highlight the initiatives you have developed as a business leader, and detail the successes of these initiatives.
Executives must demonstrate the strategies and tactics they applied to generate new business or retain and increase existing business, while describing how they have or intend to implement social and environmental initiatives for a sustainable future within their business.
Furthermore, you must feature any innovation in your submission and describe how it has impacted business growth and/or the innovation’s positive contribution to aviation and the aviation industry.
Finally, executives must outline the staff management/development strategies they have implemented in their business to ensure they attract and retain the best talent.
Entrants can provide a maximum of four supporting documents to bolster the quality of their submission, including financial or business metrics, images, statistics, transcripts, media coverage, accolades, testimonials or recommendations/references, and other relevant information.
In addition, we encourage you to submit an optional short video up to 30 seconds long answering the question: “What does business success mean to you?”
To be eligible for this award, the nominee must own or be employed in an Australian business, organisation, or institution (or a division of a global business that is registered to trade in Australia) that has a focus on supporting and serving the Australian aviation industry.
The awards are peer-reviewed and judged by a well-regarded and trusted panel.
The Australian Aviation Awards includes a range of other individual and group awards for airlines, airports, support businesses, pilots, engineers, rotary businesses, industry associations, and female aviation leaders.
