Issue 380: RAAF hits 100 & the Vickers Viscount
Last year was perhaps the most hectic and bizarre of most of our working lives. And so Momentum Media, the company that owns Australian Aviation alongside a raft of other brands, decided to arrange an overnight conference and Christmas party for all its staff in the Hunter Valley. In order to allow us to participate – and let our hair down – the aviation team teed up a few more timeless stories to run over those two days online, with the aim of topping up our email newsletter with whatever might have occurred that day. It had been a quiet few days, as the industry breathed a sigh of relief that the nightmare of border closures and lockdowns had finally come to an end.
