Drone Delivery 2.0
drone special
In this special In-Focus edition, we investigate the most significant issues in possibly the most exciting area of aviation.
Our cover feature sees us go back to interview the man heading up Google Wing delivery drones in Australia. In the last few months, the business has moved tantalisingly close to the holy grail of being able to pick up packages from stand-alone shops. Now, its delivery drones will fly to the roof of a shopping mall, allowing goods to be picked up from all the shops inside, and sent whizzing to a customer’s home in minutes. No wonder Google has called Logan in Queensland “The drone delivery capital of the world.”
